Rhubarb

Rhubarb is a vegetable with a distinctive taste, a traditional favourite for use in pies and desserts. It was initially grown for medicinal purposes being rich in vitamin C and dietary fibre.
The edible varieties grown for forced and regular production.

 

Variety Details

 

Glaskins Perpetual - Rare old variety with thick juicy brilliant red sticks. Low in acidity allows cropping from March to September.

Victoria - Popular old variety with the most delicious flavour. Thick bright green, pink tinged sticks for cropping March to August.
